The Birthday That Changed Everything – Debbie Johnson

Birthday That Changed

I was so chuffed to receive a copy of this from the lovely publishers – big thanks to Harper Impulse! It was my own birthday in January so this was such a lush birthday treat to find through my letterbox I couldn’t wait to get started & cwtch up with straight away.

I absolutely love Debbie’s writing, she is so amazing at capturing warm, loveable characters with real heart and soul.

Sally Summers is married to a douchewad who unexpectedly leaves her for a Latvian lapdancer just before her big birthday. In desperate need of escape, Sally hops on a plane to a holiday resort in Turkey with her (hilarious) teenage children. Here we meet a band of new friends, a potential love interest and a whole load of holiday entertainment.

Is there anything hotter than an Irish leading man? Doubtful. How about a devoted single Dad hot Irish leading man? Oh yes please.

James has ALL the swoon-factor – you WILL fall for him. But is it just a holiday fling? Will it all be over before the tan has faded?

I really enjoyed this book, it was a great lift for the winter but would be equally fab if you read it on your sunlounger in the summer. Another cracker – five cwtches!
