This story will leave you breathless and if you’re anything like me, a little bit heartbroken. The old tired cliché of “I couldn’t put it down” has never been truer or more appropriate. I shed more than a few tears and the book stayed with me for a good few days after I’d finished. (A sign of a truly epic novel in my opinion is the length of the “End of book grief”)
Mia is missing, but is everything as it seems?
I cannot express how much I enjoyed reading this book. I actually audibly cried out “NO!” at one especially traumatic moment. My only criticism is the digital copy that I read failed to separate the chapters (each told in different character voices) which sometimes made it tricky to understand who was narrating each particular chapter. I’m sure this was due to it being an ARC copy via Netgalley – thank you – which has now been rectified in the published edition. Get your copy here
A brilliantly crafted, exciting read that I cannot recommend highly enough. Five cwtches!
